About The Position

As a Security Officer - TWIC Patrol Driver in Palmetto, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence that may help to deter security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with site personnel and visitors, document activity, and support a customer-focused experience through teamwork and integrity. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy requirements.

Requirements

  • A TSA-issued TWIC is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a utilities location by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Control access at gates, entrances, and restricted areas by verifying credentials, managing visitor processes, and documenting entries and exits per site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including communicating with site personnel and public emergency services when directed.
  • Complete detailed reports of patrol activities, access control actions, and security-related incidents, and relay observations to the site supervisor and/or client representative.
