About The Position

As a Security Officer - TWIC Patrol Driver in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government waterfront transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support access control and incident reporting. This is a driving post, so you will use a company vehicle to cover assigned areas while delivering clear communication and customer service. You will bring integrity, teamwork, and a people-first mindset that reflects Allied Universal values.

Requirements

  • A TSA Issued TWIC is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma and/or GED is required as required by the client.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • A Guard Card and/or License is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct access control duties including verifying identification and credentials, monitoring entry and exit points, and directing visitors, vendors, and personnel according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential hazards; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including requesting assistance from site contacts and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Prepare and submit accurate reports and logs of patrols, incidents, and unusual activity, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and/or site representatives.
