As a Security Officer - TWIC Checkpoint in Alvin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Security Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document observations, and communicate clearly with site teams and visitors while providing strong customer service. Requirements
- Possess a TSA Issued TWIC.
- A Guard Card/License is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying site contacts and/or emergency services as required.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or monitoring systems, document observations, and report maintenance or operational issues through established channels.
- Complete detailed activity logs and incident reports, support security-related drills and/or inspections, and coordinate with site management on policy compliance and visitor or contractor control.
