As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail location, you will help manage entry points, verify badges and/or credentials, and maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related issues. You will complete routine patrols, document observations, and support guests and store teams with clear communication and customer service. Requirements

• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, tenants, and employees by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail or mall location.
• Control access by verifying identification, issuing and/or collecting visitor passes, managing delivery and contractor check-in, and directing people to the appropriate entrances and loading areas.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas through presence and CCTV observation when assigned, reporting suspicious or unusual activity and/or policy violations to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with medical calls, lost children procedures, disorderly conduct, and property damage reporting.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the interior, exterior, and perimeter areas, checking doors, gates, and restricted areas, and documenting patrol activity and incidents in written reports.
