You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with a customer-first mindset. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, tenants, and shoppers by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail and/or mall location.
  • Control access at assigned entrances by greeting visitors, verifying identification and/or credentials, issuing visitor passes when authorized, and maintaining visitor and contractor logs.
  • Monitor doors, loading areas, and other controlled points for unusual activity, help to deter unauthorized entry, and promptly report concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and communicating with on-site staff and/or public responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, checking for unsecured doors, suspicious behavior, and policy violations.
