As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, log visitors and vehicles, and monitor activity to help reduce security-related incidents. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, communicate clearly with staff and drivers, and support a positive customer experience. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, drivers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Control access at entry and exit points by verifying identification, checking credentials, issuing visitor access, and maintaining required entry logs and/or records.
  • Screen incoming and outgoing traffic by monitoring vehicle and pedestrian gates, coordinating with dispatch and site contacts, and directing authorized visitors to appropriate check-in areas.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, policy violations, and/or suspicious activity through approved communication channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, loading areas, and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by site location.
