As an Allied Universal Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and strong customer service. You will complete routine rounds, document observations, and support staff and visitors with professionalism. Requirements
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or members of the public by following site-specific security-related procedures, access guidelines, and emergency response activities as directed.
- Respond to incidents, service calls, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken per post orders.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
- Monitor entry points and restricted areas, verify identification or authorization when required, and direct individuals to appropriate locations in accordance with posted rules and site policies.
- Complete detailed reports and daily activity logs, communicate observations to site representatives and/or Allied Universal leadership, and support incident follow-up when requested.
