As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government transportation location, you will monitor and patrol platforms, facilities, and surrounding areas, completing routine rounds and writing clear reports. Your visible presence and strong communication help to deter security-related incidents while you assist riders and staff with directions and service-focused support. You will work with a reliable, agile team that acts with integrity and puts people first.

Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Baton certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a government transportation location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout stations, platforms, parking areas, and perimeter zones; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor access points, observe public areas for unusual activity, and report conditions that may help to deter unauthorized entry, vandalism, and/or other policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including dispatch notifications, medical calls, and/or service disruptions as directed by post orders.
  • Complete routine reports and incident documentation, maintain logs, and communicate observations and/or concerns to site leadership and local responders as required.
