As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to situations, document observations, and support riders and staff with clear communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Possess a guard card and/or license preferred.
  • Handcuffing certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to facility staff, transit employees, contractors, and the public by carrying out post orders, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of government transportation facilities, platforms, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe people, vehicles, and deliveries for compliance with posted rules and authorized entry requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, coordinating with site leadership, and contacting public emergency services when needed.
  • Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and other documentation and communicate security-related information to supervisors and/or the appropriate authorities.
