As an Allied Universal Security Officer on an unarmed patrol post at a food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with staff and visitors, document observations, and respond to concerns with a customer-first approach. You will bring integrity and teamwork to a culture that is agile, reliable, innovative, and caring.

Requirements

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production and warehouse areas, offices, parking lots, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification and/or access credentials, managing visitor check-in, and directing guests to the appropriate location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disputes, medical events, and fire-related notifications, and escalate to site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Document patrols, inspections, incidents, and other security-related activity in daily reports and logs, and communicate updates to supervision and site personnel.
