As a Security Officer - Transit Driving Patrol Overnights in Milwaukee, WI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government transit location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist staff and riders with clear communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements. Requirements

  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disputes, medical situations, and/or disorderly conduct, and request assistance from appropriate resources as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, platforms, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential issues.
  • Monitor access points, observe activity for unusual conditions, and complete required documentation such as shift logs, incident reports, and/or patrol reports.
  • Operate post equipment as directed, which may include radios, phones, and/or video monitoring systems, and communicate timely updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
