About The Position

As a Security Officer - Transit Patrol Overnights in Quincy, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine foot patrols, maintain a highly visible presence, and help identify and report security-related concerns. You will support access control, respond to requests with clear communication, and deliver outstanding customer service to staff and visitors. Guided by integrity, teamwork, and a people-first culture, you will make a meaningful impact every shift.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a government location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or access concerns.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, assist with visitor directions, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate contacts.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services when needed and supporting orderly response actions.
  • Complete timely reports and logs, document patrols and incidents, and communicate key information during shift turnover and/or when escalating issues.
