You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to issues with calm, clear communication. This role requires an Armed Guard Card and/or license and offers a fast-paced environment where integrity, teamwork, and a caring culture come first while you support riders, staff, and visitors. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Sat 12:00 PM - 08:00 PM Sun 12:00 PM - 08:00 PM

Requirements

  • Have 1+ years armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Have an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to facility staff, commuters, and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
  • Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of transit facilities, parking areas, platforms, and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions taken per post orders and reporting requirements.
  • Monitor entrances, fare areas, and other designated zones; verify credentials as required and/or screen for prohibited items consistent with site policies.
  • Communicate with site management and local public agencies as directed; assist with crowd management, traffic control, and/or special events to support orderly operations.
