About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Government in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a strong visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Pepper spray certification is preferred.
An armed guard card or license is preferred.
Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and judgment to address each situation.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or security-related incidents encountered during patrols.
Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary to support the security-related needs of the government location.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and the site.
Follow all protocols and procedures for handling and carrying firearms in accordance with company policy and legal requirements.
