Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Government Site Patrol in Los Angeles, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a reassuring presence. You will engage with people on site, deliver excellent customer service, and respond promptly to situations as they arise. Requirements

Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate protocols for armed personnel.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
Maintain awareness of surroundings and communicate any unusual circumstances or security-related concerns to appropriate personnel and/or law enforcement as required.
Complete incident reports and documentation according to company and client protocols.
Assist in emergency preparedness drills and respond to real emergencies following established procedures.
Interact professionally with visitors, employees, and contractors to provide information and assistance as needed.
Comply with all legal regulations and licensing requirements for armed security-related personnel.
