Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A minimum of one year of security-related experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergencies as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the assigned government location, including both interior and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activities.
  • Carry a firearm in accordance with applicable laws and site-specific requirements, maintaining readiness to respond to potential threats.
  • Monitor and report any suspicious activities, hazards, or security-related incidents encountered during patrols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services as required in the event of incidents or emergencies at the location.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and any security-related occurrences as directed by Allied Universal procedures.
