As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and respond to issues with professionalism and clear communication. This post requires a Level III Armed Certification in Texas. Requirements

  • Have 3+ years of Military Police, Corrections Officer, Armed Security, or be a Certified Law Enforcement Graduate.
  • Possess Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors and staff by carrying out post orders, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Perform armed patrol duties, maintaining weapon retention, following use of force guidelines, and reporting any policy concerns to supervision.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with on-site personnel and/or public agencies as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter, monitoring for unauthorized activity and conditions that may help to deter incidents.
  • Complete required security-related reports, logs, and shift documentation, including incident details, patrol observations, and equipment checks.
