About The Position

As a Security Officer - Telecom Perimeter Rounds in Council Bluffs, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal supporting a fast-paced tech location as an unarmed patrol officer. You will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, stay highly visible, monitor assigned areas, and respond to security-related concerns while providing standout customer service and clear communication to employees and visitors. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points, visitor check-in processes, and delivery activity as assigned, reporting unusual conditions and/or security-related concerns to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with alarms, medical calls, and/or evacuation guidance as directed by site protocols.
  • Prepare clear, timely documentation such as daily activity reports and incident reports, and communicate observations to the appropriate contacts during shift turnover.
