As a Security Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will help create a calm, welcoming environment by conducting routine patrols, monitoring activity, and supporting access control. You will remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, respond to alarms and/or requests for assistance, and provide clear communication to staff, patients, and visitors. You will bring reliability, agility, and integrity to every shift while working as one team.

Requirements

Have a minimum of 1 year of security-related experience.
Possess a DD214 with Honorable Discharge or an Associates Degree with 60 college credits or a Police Academy Certificate or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
An armed guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
Monitor entrances, waiting areas, and other assigned spaces to help maintain authorized access control, assist with visitor direction, and report unusual activity per post orders.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical or facility emergencies, and requests for assistance from clinical teams.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including parking areas and building perimeters, documenting observations and reporting maintenance or hazard concerns through the appropriate channels.
Complete required security-related reports and logs, preserve incident details for follow-up, and communicate clearly with Allied Universal leadership and onsite stakeholders during shift transitions.
