As an unarmed patrol officer in a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for assistance, support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and customer service, and document observations. Requirements

Hospital site requires applicable vaccines.
Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with medical facility access concerns, disturbances, and requests for support from hospital personnel.
Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, identify hazards, and report maintenance or environmental concerns.
Control access by monitoring entrances and restricted areas, checking credentials when required, and directing visitors to appropriate destinations in accordance with site policies.
Complete shift activity reports, incident documentation, and required logs, and communicate observations and/or concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
