Job Description As a Security Officer - Telecom Patrol in Tallahassee, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. Requirements

Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related concerns.
Monitor and report any unusual or suspicious activity within the location, especially in areas relevant to the technology, media, and telecom environment.
Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and/or vendors while maintaining a visible presence throughout the assigned area.
Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and/or hazards according to Allied Universal protocols.
Assist with access control by verifying credentials and managing entry points as required by site-specific procedures.
