Job Description As a Security Officer - Telecom Facility Patrol in Crystal City, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. You will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification is preferred.
Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing Allied Universal protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry to restricted areas within the location.
Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or security-related concerns to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
Support emergency response efforts and assist first responders as directed during incidents at the site.
Maintain detailed and accurate logs and incident reports in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.
Interact with employees, visitors, and contractors in a professional manner, providing assistance and information as needed.
