As a Security Officer - Telecom Patrol Specialist in Flat Rock, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech, media, and telecom location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting patrols and remaining visible. Requirements
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies within a tech, media, and telecom environment.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with emergency response activities as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the business premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior, adapting to varying work environments and conditions depending on the location.
- Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or property damage encountered during patrols to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or client contacts.
- Assist with access control by monitoring entry points and verifying identification as required by site procedures.
- Maintain detailed and accurate logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or irregularities encountered during shifts.
- Communicate professionally and courteously with all individuals on site, providing information and assistance as needed.
