About The Position

As a Security Officer - Telecom Patrol in Knoxville, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic technology and telecommunications location. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible, and respond to situations as they arise. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
CPR or first aid is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including responding appropriately to emergencies.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter potential issues and identify unusual conditions.
Observe and report any suspicious activities or hazardous conditions to the appropriate personnel.
Assist visitors and employees by providing information and directions as needed while maintaining access control protocols.
Collaborate with Allied Universal management and site personnel to address security-related concerns specific to the tech, media, and telecom environment.
