As a Security Officer - Telecom Patrol Specialist in Bessemer, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling designated areas within a dynamic tech and media environment. Requirements
- At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter areas within a technology and media-focused location.
- Observe and report any unusual activity or potential security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Assist visitors and employees by providing information and directions as needed.
- Help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity through visible presence and attentive patrolling.
- Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding daily activities and any incidents encountered during patrols.
- Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to maintain a secure environment.
