About The Position

As a Security Officer - Technology Access Control Driver in Anderson, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic technology-focused location, you will monitor entrances, check credentials, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. Your visible presence and strong customer service skills will create a welcoming environment while supporting a culture of integrity and teamwork. This is a driving post and requires a valid driver's license as part of your responsibilities.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Control access to the location by verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel, visitors, and vendors in accordance with site-specific policies.
  • Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or security-related incidents.
  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by addressing inquiries and assisting with directions or information as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter security-related risks and report any suspicious activity.
  • Document and report all security-related incidents, irregularities, or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and/or law enforcement as required during emergencies or incidents.
  • Maintain awareness of site-specific security-related technology and systems, such as access control devices and surveillance equipment.
