About The Position

As a Security Officer - Tech Site Patrol Overnights in Fort Wayne, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading technology location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, staying visible to help reduce security-related incidents and support a positive experience for employees and visitors. You will complete routine patrols, report observations, respond to concerns, and communicate clearly with site teams. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR Certification is preferred.
  • Access Control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or local emergency services as required.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter, documenting observations and reporting hazards and/or suspicious activity to help to deter unwanted behavior.
  • Monitor access points and controlled areas, verify identification and/or credentials, manage visitor check-in, and support badging processes in accordance with site policy.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, and patrol documentation, and coordinate with client contacts and/or other Allied Universal team members to support site operations.
