As a Screener at a leading tech and telecom location, you will welcome employees and visitors, conduct entry screening, verify credentials, and support access control while maintaining a visible presence. You will document unusual activity, communicate clearly with site teams, and deliver customer service that reflects Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2+ years of security experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct entry screening at designated checkpoints, including monitoring walk-through screening equipment, performing bag and package inspections, and verifying credentials per site policy.
  • Control access to restricted areas by checking identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing sign-in logs, and coordinating with site contacts for approvals.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, document observations, and notify appropriate personnel according to post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, entrances, and the building perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
