As a Screener with Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help support security-related operations by screening people and packages, verifying identification, monitoring entry points and shipping areas, and conducting routine patrols. You will stay highly visible to help reduce incidents, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and deliver customer service with integrity. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all visitors, drivers, and team members by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen individuals, bags, and/or packages at designated entry points using approved methods and equipment, and verify credentials and access authorization prior to entry.
  • Monitor access points and surrounding activity, report irregular conditions, and respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Complete logs and security-related reports such as screening activity, visitor entries, and incident documentation, and communicate updates to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas including docks, staging zones, and perimeter points when directed, and report maintenance or security-related concerns.
