About The Position

As a Security Officer - Checkpoint Screener in Pooler, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help support smooth operations by conducting screening checkpoints, monitoring assigned areas, and completing routine patrols where applicable. You will stay highly visible, document security-related activity, and communicate clearly with team members and site personnel to help reduce disruptions. Requirements

  • A minimum of 6+ months of Security Experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-Ray Screening Experience is preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
  • CPR Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, drivers, and visitors by following site-specific, security-related access procedures at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen individuals and belongings at entry points using approved methods and equipment, such as visual inspections, bag checks, and/or magnetometer protocols as required by post orders.
  • Verify identification, manage visitor and driver logs, issue credentials as directed, and direct traffic flow to designated check-in, staging, and/or shipping areas.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Complete required documentation, including screening logs, incident reports, and shift activity notes, and communicate relevant information during shift turnovers.
