Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech and telecom location, you will welcome employees and guests while supporting entry screening and access control. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and document observations with clear communication. You will deliver customer service with a caring, people-first approach, acting with integrity while partnering closely with onsite teams.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients in a tech-focused location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Screen employees, contractors, and visitors at entry points using established access control steps, including checking identification, verifying authorization, and supporting badge issuance and/or visitor check-in.
  • Conduct package, bag, and delivery screening as required by post orders, and route persons and items to the appropriate internal contact or area.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Complete required reports and logs, communicate unusual activity to site contacts, and monitor security-related systems such as cameras and alarms as assigned.
