About The Position

As a Screener at a fast-paced tech and telecom location, you will greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, screen bags and items, and support access control and visitor routing. You will stay visible, document and report unusual activity, and provide calm, service-focused communication during high-traffic periods. Requirements

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a tech location.
  • Screen people, bags, and deliveries using approved methods and equipment, following site procedures and reporting items of concern.
  • Support access control by verifying identification, badges, and visitor authorizations, issuing temporary credentials as directed, and documenting entries and/or exits.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Complete required reports and logs, communicate notable activity to Allied Universal and site contacts, and help to deter policy violations through a consistent, professional presence.
