About The Position
As a Security Officer - Tech Patrol - Weekdays in Forest Hills, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine patrols, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access awareness, respond to concerns, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff, visitors, and teammates. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology and telecommunications location.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior spaces, parking areas, loading zones, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify irregular conditions.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials when required, and support visitor, vendor, and contractor check-in processes in accordance with site requirements.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and notifying site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
- Complete routine reports and shift logs, communicate significant updates during post handoff, and use site systems such as phones, radios, and access control tools to support daily operations.
