Job Description As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Patrol -Weekdays in Duncan, SC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced manufacturing and industrial location as an unarmed patrol officer. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control and badge activity. You may also respond to alarm panel notifications and document activity using a computer and/or tablet, while delivering customer-focused service and clear communication grounded in integrity and teamwork.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm Panel Experience is preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to onsite personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, reporting concerns through established communication and escalation channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production and warehouse areas, entrances, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Control access at gates and building entry points by verifying identification, monitoring visitor and delivery activity, and maintaining required logs and documentation.
  • Complete routine reports, monitor alarms and/or cameras as assigned, and communicate with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts regarding security-related observations and incidents.
