As a Security Officer - Tech/Media Patrol Full-Time in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic tech-focused location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols and provide exceptional customer service, supporting the secure flow of day-to-day operations. Your role will involve engaging with people on site and addressing situations with professionalism. Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Observe and report any unusual activity or potential threats within the location.
Assist visitors and employees with directions and general inquiries as needed.
Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to maintain a secure environment.
Complete incident and daily activity reports as required by site protocols.
Remain alert to surroundings and communicate potential issues to the appropriate personnel.
