About The Position

As a Security Officer - Tech/Media Entry Screener in Manassas, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal in a dynamic tech-focused location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and controlling access points, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a visible presence. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet and screen individuals entering the location to help to deter unauthorized access and promote a secure environment.
Follow site-specific policies and procedures as directed by Allied Universal and the client.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as appropriate.
Communicate clearly and professionally with visitors, employees, and/or clients regarding access protocols and security-related matters.
Monitor entry and exit points, verifying identification and credentials as required by location protocols.
Assist with emergency response activities as directed, following established processes and procedures.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of screening activities, incidents, and/or irregularities observed during assigned shifts.
