Job Description As a Security Officer - Telecom Entry Screener in Ruskin, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener in a dynamic tech and media environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and foster a secure atmosphere. Your visible presence and strong communication skills will contribute to a welcoming experience for all. Requirements
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by implementing security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to situations as needed.
- Screen individuals entering the location to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a secure environment.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as appropriate.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verifying credentials and/or identification as required by site protocols.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities and any incidents that occur during the shift.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with visitors, employees, and/or management regarding security-related matters.
- Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to support security-related operations and emergency response activities.
