About The Position

As a Security Officer - Tech Entry Screener in Jeffersonville, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener in a dynamic tech and media location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, engaging with visitors, and providing outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct screening of individuals entering the location to help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited items.
  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter potential threats and/or breaches.
  • Communicate clearly and promptly with Allied Universal management and/or site representatives regarding incidents and observations.
  • Maintain accurate logs and/or reports of screening activities, incidents, and observations as required.
  • Remain alert to potential security-related risks and report any concerns promptly to the appropriate personnel.
