About The Position

As a Security Officer - Tech Front Desk in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Front Desk Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech and media location, you will be the first point of contact, providing exceptional customer service and communication to all visitors and employees. You will monitor access, manage visitor credentials, and help to deter security-related incidents while upholding our values of agility, reliability, and integrity. Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist employees, visitors, and/or guests at the front desk in a professional manner, providing excellent customer service while following site-specific protocols.
  • Monitor and control access to the building by verifying identification, issuing visitor badges, and maintaining logs as required by location policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating as necessary according to Allied Universal and site procedures.
  • Communicate clearly and promptly with site management, Allied Universal supervisors, and other personnel regarding security-related matters.
  • Observe and report unusual activity or security-related concerns in and around the front desk area, helping to deter unauthorized access or activities.
  • Assist with emergency response activities at the front desk, following established protocols and supporting coordination efforts with emergency responders if needed.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while representing Allied Universal at a technology and media location.
