As a Security Officer - Tech Facility Screener in Boise, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener in a dynamic tech-focused location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents through your visible presence. You will interact with employees and visitors, conduct routine patrols, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- CPR and/or first aid certification is preferred.
- Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Greet and interact with employees, visitors, and/or vendors in a professional manner while following established security-related procedures.
- Conduct screening of individuals entering the location, including verifying identification and/or credentials as required by site-specific policies.
- Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity or persons.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols and site-specific guidelines.
- Provide customer service by assisting individuals with inquiries and directing them as appropriate within the location.
- Maintain accurate records and logs related to screening activities and incidents as required by site protocols.
- Collaborate with other Allied Universal personnel and location staff to support overall security-related operations and emergency response activities.
