As a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help support smooth operations by monitoring access points, screening employees and visitors, checking badges, and documenting activity on a computer and/or tablet. You will maintain a visible, security-related presence, communicate clearly with site teams, and deliver strong customer service while assisting with loss prevention and reporting. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal and site-specific security-related procedures, including access control at entry points within a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, and deliveries as required, including verifying identification and credentials, inspecting packages and bags, and monitoring screening equipment and/or entry lanes per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating emergency response activities, notifying site contacts, and coordinating with responding personnel as directed.
  • Complete written and/or electronic reports such as screening logs, incident reports, and visitor and contractor documentation in accordance with site requirements.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols and roving checks near entrances, staging areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access and support orderly operations.
