About The Position

As a Security Officer - Tech Visitor Screener in New Braunfels, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech and media location, you will greet employees and visitors, support entry screening and access procedures, monitor assigned areas, and complete routine patrols to help reduce security-related incidents. You will stay visible, communicate clearly, document observations, and respond to requests with a people-first, customer-focused approach, bringing integrity, teamwork, and innovation to every shift.

Requirements

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a tech, media, and/or telecom location.
  • Screen individuals and belongings at designated entry points using approved methods and equipment, verify credentials, issue temporary badges when authorized, and support access control procedures.
  • Monitor alarms, video surveillance, and/or access control systems, document observations, and report unusual activity according to Allied Universal and site-specific post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing direction and communication support until additional resources arrive.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior spaces, common areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance and/or security-related concerns.
