As a Screener with Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech, media, and telecom location, you will welcome employees and visitors while supporting security-related entry screening and access procedures. You will stay highly visible at key checkpoints, observe activity, document concerns, and communicate clearly with site teams to help identify issues early and help to deter incidents. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access guidelines, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Screen persons entering the location by verifying identification, checking credentials, and directing visitors through required entry processes, including use of screening equipment when assigned.
  • Monitor entry points and lobby or reception areas for unusual activity, help to deter unauthorized access, and communicate concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and escalating per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter when assigned, noting hazards and/or irregularities and reporting findings per site policy.
