About The Position

As a Security Officer - Tech Dispatch Coordinator in Sterling, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Being at least 21 years of age is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and first aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate dispatch communications systems to monitor and coordinate security-related activities across the location.
  • Receive and respond to calls for service, incidents, and emergencies in a calm and problem-solving manner.
  • Document and report all security-related incidents, activities, and observations according to site-specific protocols.
  • Collaborate with on-site personnel and law enforcement as needed to support incident response and resolution.
  • Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and contractors with security-related inquiries and procedures.
  • Monitor access control systems and verify credentials to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs of all communications, incidents, and actions taken during the shift.
  • Support Allied Universal and client site-specific policies and procedures at all times.
