Job Description As a Security Officer - Utilities Dispatch Coordinator in Burr Ridge, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned utility locations to help maintain a secure environment. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents, and delivering outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and coordinate communications between personnel, visitors, and contractors within the utilities location to support security-related operations.
  • Dispatch security-related personnel and resources as needed in response to incidents, alarms, or requests for assistance.
  • Maintain detailed logs and records of all incoming and outgoing communications and activities at the dispatch post.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols.
  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and assisting with emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Support regular and random patrols by coordinating with patrol staff to help to deter unauthorized activity around the business and perimeter.
  • Maintain awareness of site activities and relay pertinent information to appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or site management.
