As a Security Officer - Tech Campus Screener in Lexington, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener in a dynamic tech and media environment, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible, and assisting with access control and badge verification to support a secure atmosphere. Requirements

Loss prevention experience is preferred.
CPR and/or first aid certification is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal.
Screen individuals entering the location by verifying identification, credentials, and/or authorization as required by site policies.
Monitor access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and report any suspicious activity following established protocols.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating as appropriate.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of all screening activities, incidents, and interactions as required by Allied Universal and client site protocols.
Communicate professionally with visitors, employees, and/or contractors to provide guidance on site procedures and policies.
Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to maintain a secure environment in a technology, media, or telecommunications setting.
