As an unarmed patrol officer at a utilities location, you will conduct routine rounds and mobile patrols while completing security-related checks, documenting activity, and supporting access points as needed. This is a driving post, so you will use a company-approved vehicle to stay visible, help reduce incidents, and assist employees and visitors with clear, professional communication. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utility location.
  • Control access at gates and/or lobbies by verifying identification, managing visitor sign-in, issuing temporary badges, and directing deliveries to designated areas.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, yards, parking areas, and perimeter fencing, documenting conditions and reporting hazards, damage, and/or unusual activity.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and local responders as directed.
  • Complete required reports such as daily activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation, using site systems and Allied Universal reporting tools.
