Security Officer - Patrol Driver
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Mobile Patrol Driver in San Bruno, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support guests and tenants with professional customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license per AU Driver Policy requirements. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and tenants by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout retail common areas, back-of-house corridors, loading zones, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter, noting unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and respond to alarms, suspicious activity, disturbances, and/or requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Complete security-related reports and incident documentation, and communicate key information to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Help to deter theft and/or property damage through high-visibility presence, observation, and courteous interaction with shoppers, employees, and vendors.
