Job Description As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver in San Diego, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading healthcare research location where you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and support badge and access control processes while providing a welcoming customer service experience. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. You will use clear communication and technology to document activity, collaborate with site teams, and take integrity-driven actions that help reduce security-related concerns.

Requirements

At least two years of security experience is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, patients and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Control access to buildings, research areas and/or receiving areas by checking identification, validating authorization and managing visitor sign-in and badge issuance per site policy.
Respond to incidents, alarms and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications, documenting actions taken and assisting first responders as directed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including parking areas and perimeter points, to help to identify unusual conditions, unsecured doors and/or policy violations.
Complete required reports such as activity logs, incident reports and/or access control records using site systems, maintaining clear, factual documentation and timely communication with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
