About The Position

As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic tech and media location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support employees and visitors with clear communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license per Allied Universal driver policy. You will document observations, respond to requests, and act with integrity through teamwork in a caring, agile culture. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, tenants, and/or visitors by following site-specific procedures and security-related protocols, including directing individuals to appropriate areas and answering general questions.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior spaces, common areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and report unusual activity, unsecured doors, and/or policy violations according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate responders and assisting with emergency response activities when directed.
  • Complete timely written reports and activity logs, documenting patrols, incidents, and/or maintenance issues and communicating updates to site leadership as needed.
